Deer Hill was busy this past weekend hosting three different groups. Led by Enrique
Peredo, Re-evaluation Co-counseling held an international retreat from Thursday through
Sunday. A large group from Charity Baptist Church spent the day on Saturday touring Deer
Hill Center as well as meeting about their future plans. NYC Outward Bound spent Saturday
and Sunday in Ingalls Lodge hosting the Westchester Magnet Academy. Although these
groups varied greatly in their agendas and goals, the weekend was a tremendous success.

Deer Hill hosted The Millionth Circle retreat this past week. Led by Ann Smith, the
group was a pleasure to host and Deer Hill is proud to have been part of this important
work. The Millionth Circle's vision is, "A proliferation of circles with a spiritual center
becomes a worldwide healing force by bringing feminine values of relationship, nurturing,
and interdependency into a global culture in which hierarchy, conflict and competition,
power over others and exploitation of the earth's resources are dominant values. Our aim
is to celebrate the millionth circle as an idea whose time has come". Please click on the

This week Ernie Hall's group, a
congregational church in the Bronx, came to
Deer Hill for thier annual picnic. The second
Saturday in June was a beautiful day, just
as it is for them every year. It was a very
successful picnic with the combined efforts
of the weather, cooking and activities.

This week the Deer Hill staff spent
exhaustive efforts preparing for
Project Youth.
The Project Youth group made
use of nearly all that Deer Hill had
to offer. They organized games in
the baseball field, volley ball
court.....
....and of course,
the basketball
court. This high
energy group from
Brooklyn ended
thier stay with a
big, all out party in
our loft.
When all the smoke cleared, the
visit turned out to be a success,
and the efforts of everyone involved
worthwhile.
